To dare to dream

  The essence of this poem comes from one of those moments of introspection where you have that really big soul searching moment.While it does not necessarily reflect on any particular circumstances, nor is it a poem of regrets, it does allow for overall reflection on how life can be altered or affected by  small instances or decisions. The beginning of a new day seems so like the end of a lifetime. I have lived a thousand lifetimes in only a few years. Time speeds by and in its wake a pile of unlived dreams and longings The very essence of my being is filled with the regrets of a life unlived. Of ventures undiscovered, songs unsung and dreams, dreams waiting to come alive. In my bag is all the evidence of dreams, some reality but mostly dreams... The last of the wine is gone, the fragrance still lingering on my breath I am dreaming but I am wide awake, The pain is too great and I reach for the breath of the wind passing through the trees The memories are yet unmade and I am
